About the job
Identifies, assesses, and responds to potential project development opportunities. Engages in networking, research and analysis to collect information that contributes to JRF’s ability to make strategic and informed decisions regarding new opportunities, and position the organization given evolving trends in the development arena.
Core Responsibilities:
Able to identify opportunities (e.g. RFPs) and assess them based on the organizational needs, capacity, and vision.
Contributes to the entire proposal development process, in coordination and alignment with various departments and team members.
Supports the design of interventions and programs in collaboration with technical teams and is responsible for drafting different components of the proposals, such as: objectives/outcomes/activities, local context, implementation approach and plan, executive summaries, organization capacity statements, and past experience.
Conducts research and contributes to drafting research reports such as market assessments, especially in the fields of community empowerment, livelihood, child protection, and women and youth empowerment.
Prepares and conducts presentations, such as those highlighting the organization’s capacity and experience, and discussing the proposed project details.
Ensure that templates and tools for proposal development are developed.
Actively coordinate and participate in planning/status meetings to ensure proper adherence to good proposal management practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field.
Master’s Degree is an asset.
Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English; including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
3-5 years.
Knowledge of the international development donor landscape and proven track record of developing winning funding proposals
Extensive knowledge of proposal and donor funding requirements and the ability to apply that knowledge in preparing project proposals
Strong project management techniques and tools
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to apply those skills in project development, the negotiation process, and speeches/presentations while representing
