Qatar - Water Treatment Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Engineer to join our company. He will be responsible for providing utility and energy efficiency support and solutions for all industrial and non-industrial facilities.
The Water Treatment Engineer primary role is to provide technical and services including process expertise related to Water Treatment Systems and Waste Treatment systems. The water treatment systems include Media Filtration, Ion Exchange, Membrane Desalination, Thermal Desalination, Water Treatment Chemicals Injection, Cooling water, Condensate and process water treatment.
Provide routine service support to sales team in Qatar to execute agreed upon customer system assurance and continuous improvement plans
Assist sales team with plant surveys of prospective customers
Assist sales team with start-ups of new applications in both existing customers and in new accounts
Develop strong relationships with the key clients in the strategic accounts where you provide service support to other Sales team
Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer issues
Analyzes various water/ wastewater treatment methods used to prepare water for industrial and domestic use; recommends the most effective method.
Analyzes disposal methods or treatments for sludge; recommends and develops sludge treatment plants or methods to best serve the assigned area.
Review existing systems to identify improvement opportunities, potential problems, and remedies to existing problems, and conduct continuous improvement studies
Must be familiar with water treatment parameters such – Conductivity -Ph- Total Iron-Sulfite- Nitrite- TDS- Oxygen scavenger- Phosphate -Dissolved oxygen -Bacteria monitoring -BOD-COD -TSS and analyze nitrogen (NGL, NH4, NO3) and phosphorus parameters
Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels;
Follow with safety guidelines and incident reporting requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent Arabic/English verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Driver License
- Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical Engineering required; Masters degree highly preferred.
At least 5-10 years of related experience required
